“ENGAGED SEARCH”
It’s not Retained. It’s not
Contingency.
It’s a deposit on the investment of hiring the best possible passive
candidates available.
Our fee structure is
simple.
• We charge 22% of the base annual salary at the completion of the search.
• A $5,000 deposit is due at the beginning of the search.
• The balance of the fee is due on start date.
How We Do It……
I’m a headhunter! I have a simple but highly effective search strategy. I
personally conduct each and every “engaged search” we take on. First, I
take a complete job profile from the person who has the clearest vision of
the company and the role the position plays in the success of the
organization. Next, I figure out what’s in it for the candidate. The
people I’m going to talk to about this opportunity are not actively
looking. They may not even have their resume updated. I need to have a
compelling picture of an outstanding opportunity. I need to translate the
vision to them.
My next step is to draw up a list of competitor (non-APG Clients)
companies. We gather the appropriate names and I start making phone calls.
I’ve been in the staffing industry for 20 years this year so I speak the
language and I build relationships fast. Plus, I know a lot of people and
I also know what to look for in a top performer.
So, you are probably thinking, why should I commit to “engaged search”
instead of getting 3 or 4 hungry contingency recruiters all working on my
behalf? The answer is: It’s all about focus. With contingency recruiters,
it’s all about the numbers and the chance to close. I know this and you
probably do too since you are running a staffing firm. I’ve trained and
managed many contingency recruiters. We teach them to fill up the job
order pipe line and work on what’s “hot”. A successful contingency
recruiter takes on as many job orders as they can. Usually between 10 – 20
at a time. They work a little bit on each one with job boards and
networking being their primary source of candidates. They dedicate the
majority of their time to the one’s they think they can fill the quickest.
Not, the toughest to find.
I’m just the opposite. I never commit to more than 6 engaged search
assignments at a time. I love the challenge of a tough to find candidate.
After all, if it were easy, why not do it yourself? I’m not worried about
making the easiest placement because I know my time will be compensated
because you too have made a commitment to the search.
If you are interested in filling your key positions with the best people,
please call me. I would be pleased to provide you with the names and phone
numbers of a couple of happy customers.

I have no complex about wealth. I have worked hard for my money, producing things people need. I believe that the able industrial leader who creates wealth and employment is more worthy of historical notice than politicians or soldiers.

To be humble to superiors is duty, to equals, courtesy, to inferiors, nobleness.
