Professionals who have made the staffing industry their career know two things. It's cyclical and it's competitive. Our industry is affected by many factors including the economy, our client's production schedules, as well as just a general "feel" of what's happening in our industry.

- The American Staffing Association estimates that more than 90% of all U.S. businesses utilize
staffing services.
- Staffing Industry Report estimated that 2000 revenue for the U.S. Staffing Industry market were
103.2 billion.
- While there is much concern about technology companies and their effect on our industry, the June 18, 2001 issue of
BusinessWeek suggests that the top performing technology companies are focused on efficiency. They are achieving efficiency by utilizing outsourcing services. The staffing industry can and does supply a whole range of outsourcing type services.
According to these statistics, there is obviously business to be had in the staffing industry. We as an industry have to be smarter and more efficient in gaining and keeping the business. Without exception, every company in our industry is currently focused on increasing sales.
